Positive Mental Health Week
Pupils were encouraged to take care of their mental health during the school’s first positive mental health week. Fun activities were enjoyed by all.
Kathleen Lynch minister of state at the department of health launched the week with a talk aimed at third year C.S.P.E students.
First year students made new friends by participating in a table quiz hosted by the Meitheal team.
Senior students researched useful websites aimed at supporting teenager’s mental health including
REACHOUT.com LETSOMEONEKNOW.ie and SPUNOUT.ie
Junior students took part in a positive mental health photography competition. Congratulations to Liam Granger in second year who was the overall winner with a photograph of his grandfather who became our poster boy for positive mental health.
This week was a great success and had a positive effect on both students and teachers!
Thanks to Ms. Mc Entee for all her help.
