2nd Year Soccer Marathon 2014

The second annual Rochestown Soccer Marathon took place on Saturday May 3rd. Over 40 students from 1st and 2nd year gave up their time to raise funds for the Irish Guide Dogs. Matches ran throughout the day as teams competed in a league format.

Outside of the matches, the students were kept entertained with ping pong tables, Xboxes, Playstations and the hugely popular commentary table!! Highlights of the day included Sean Cormack’s controversial red card, Cian Cashman’s top notch commentary and of course the pizzas for lunch!

MVP went to Diarmuid Cormack who led his team to victory in the final. Huge thanks must go to the teachers who gave up their time and helped organise this fantastic event. The massive fundraising efforts of the students resulted in a total of €1700 being raised for this very worthy cause. Congratulations to all involved. Special thanks to Mr. Donovan for organising the event.
